Mary Platt Pre-School is a small well established group which has been held at Lorton Street Methodist Church rooms for over 45 years. We are organized and run by a friendly committee, the majority of whom are parents.

All children are welcome from two years of age, up to the time they join Reception Class at school. There are free places available for three and four year olds under the Nursery grant scheme.

It is our aim to provide a caring safe environment in which children can learn through play. We offer activities and experiences which stimulate all aspects of child development, while catering for children's individual needs so they can progress and achieve to meet the outcomes of the Early years Foundation Stage curriculum.

All our staff are qualified to NVQ Level 3 and regularly attend training to refresh and further their skills.
